Here we are again, another month gone by. It has been a month of watching and reading, of writing and planning. All in all, I’m feeling in quite a steady position which is rather nice. For too many weeks I was scrambling to get blog posts sorted, but now I am feeling organised. I’m definitely planning on making the most of it while I can!
To be honest, it hasn’t been the best month. I’ve got a lot going on at that moment, so having this to focus on is making such a difference when it comes to keeping me grounded. So it’s that time to take a look at what I have planned for this next month!
Books: After having a month off, I’ve got my next tour book lined up for reviewing: I wish I Could Remember You by L.J Epps. I think the title gives away what this one is going to be about – memory loss – but still, should be interesting.
The netgalley books I have lined up for this month is A Dictionary of Mutual Understanding by Jackie Copleton and The Undays of Aralias Lyons by K.L Horvath. The former is also acting as my WHSmith book of the month as well as I have recently seen it on the shelves. I have no expectations for either of them, so am hoping that they will be good – or at least, well-written.
The final book I’m hoping to read is Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb. Anyone who read my review on the first book earlier this week will appreciate how excited I am about this: I’m hoping it won’t disappoint.
Films: It has proven to be difficult the last few weeks to get the films that I want from Lovefilm. Still, I have a few I am hoping to watch (including Everest and The Martian which they still haven’t sent me!)
The first is Ant-Man: heard really good things about this film, so hoping it will be good entertain.
Return of the Roar is on the list out of morbid curiosity. I can’t see how this film is not going to disappoint me, but I still want to see what they have done to the beloved Lion King now. I will probably regret this!
Suffragette and Bridge of Spies have also made it onto the list. I have a feeling both of these could be quite heavy, but we shall see. Whether these are the ones I get sent is another matter, so I could be watching and reviewing completely different things, we shall have to see. At least with planning in advance I can work out when I need to switch from the plan!
There we have it, my month in reviews! I’m hoping there is some good entertainment coming up through these things. Have you seen or read any of these things and if so, what did you think?
Fingers crossed that June is more positive than May has been! Have a great month, everyone!
