The last month has been a thoroughly enjoyable one in regards to this blog. Posts seem to be getting seen and it’s been lovely having a few comments filtering through as well. I’m not sure if it is just because I’ve been around for about a year now, people are genuinely liking my posts or I’m just selecting the right things to review. Could be one or all of these things, and I really don’t mind either way. It feels lovely to feel as if I am doing something right.
So on that note, it’s time to take a look at what I have planned for the next month:
Books: This month is going to be focusing on a few netgalley books. I’m requesting more than I’m reading, so hopefully this month will improve my rating a little bit. First up Heroika: Dragon Eaters, a series of short stories about defeating dragons. I normally like the dragons to be on the good guy’s side, but who knows, this might be interest.
Whispers in the Mist is a suspense-thriller by Lisa Alber, with a hint of a fantastical twist in it. I’m undecided on thrillers at the moment, so it will be interesting to see how this one grabs me. The cover looks haunting and awesome though!
The Ghost Writer by Damon Norko is my final netgalley one. It sounds humorous and perhaps a little bittersweet, but as it is about writing, I’m very happy!
A Solitary Romance by Violet Sparks is the book to push me out of my comfort zone this month. I’m reading it for the BookBear tour, but romance isn’t normally my genre. Still, I thought I would be brave and still say yet to it!
And in case it proves too much, my final book is The Last Legion so I know I will get my Roman fix for this month as it feels like a long time since I have read one of them.
Films: I’m finally getting around to seeing some of the films on my list. Everest is finally being reviewed after wanting to see it for months. I’ve heard differing reports on this film, but find they have just made me more intrigued to find out how it is done.
I’m hoping to also watch Kingsman – The Secret Service and see London has Fallen now it has just come out. I know little about either of these, other than I thought they sounded quite good when I was flicking through Lovefilm trying to find things to watch.
My final review will hopefully be on the last series of BBC’s Musketeers. This depends, of course, on whether I actually keep up with it as I’m awful with watching things as they are broadcasted. I’m doing pretty well so far and the series is half done, so hopefully everything should work out.
And there is my plan for the month! Hopefully these things will be enjoyable and some good reviews can come from it.
