This month is a very exciting one for me. I’ve made some pretty huge life decisions over the last month and feel like I’m taking the right steps in pursuing the carer that I’ve always been interested in. As from the 19th, I’m back to being a student again as I’m embarking on a Masters course for publishing. Books are such a huge part of my life that I figured it was time to embrace what it is I want and go for it.
I am, however, hoping to be organised enough that it won’t have an impact on this blog. I now have a few long train journeys; the perfect time for catching up on some reading. But what am I planning to get through this month?
Let’s take a look:
Books: I shot myself in the foot a bit this month by saying yes to four book tours. Oops. I liked the sound of all the books though, but it did mean the month filled up quite quickly.
First up is A Confession by William F. Aicher. I’ve started this book and it has an interesting narration style to say the least. I’m not sure if I am sold on it yet, but shall let you know on the 5th.
Next is Stealing the Light by Lisa Hoffman. As soon as it said “medieval fantasy”, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. This sounds right up my street and I hope it delivers. Then Darktown is making the cut, one I requested from NetGalley and then was invited to join the tour. There is a lot of hype around this book, so here is hoping it delivers.
To finish the month, I then have As Wings Unfurl by Arthur M. Doweyko, helping me branch out with some science-fiction. And finally, I’m finishing with (it has to be done!) The Cursed Child. It’s sitting here just begging to be reviewed.
Films: Having finally finished The Flash, I’m hoping to get through series 2 of Grimm this month. I’m also planning to catch up on The Living and the Dead to make my inner Colin Morgan fangirl happy. Plus, I’m intrigued.
I’ve just rewatched both Divergent and Insurgent and so I realised it was about time I caught up and saw Allegiant. I’m curious to say the least; look forward to sharing my thoughts on that one.
I’m also hoping to review Zootropolis. I honestly have no idea what this is about but more than one friend has recommended it, so figured that I would give it a go. My final review will be Kill Your Darlings. I actually saw this at a press release before it came out, but never got around to writing the review and I thought I would rectify that.
And there you have it; my month. It’s going to be a full on one, but I am excited about what lies ahead.
How about for you? Is there anything exciting coming up this September for you?

I need to start watching Grimm too. Everytime I see a random episode, I say that. I enjoy those random episodes.

It took me a while to get into the first series, but now I’m really enjoying it – they are allowing both the plot and the characters to develop really well. Looking forward to getting hold of S3!

Am now watching Season 1 Episode 1 of Grimm and loving it! Unfortunately, it’s not on Netflix so I guess I’ll have to check Amazon for the rest of the season.

Oh yay! I’m glad you are enjoying it! I managed to get the first three through lovefilm so I’m sure Amazon will have them!
