Fangirling: What am I watching?

I’ve had to adapt my blogging habits since having a full-time job. Film/television reviews aren’t as practical: I can’t get through the content in the same way. On the flip side, I’m reading far more. Rather than scheduling months in advance, I’m posting more book reviews than before.

I always wanted to be mainly a book-blogger. Now I might achieve that…

I’m also finding when I’m indulging in the shows that are older and I’m only just getting around to them, I want to enjoy them, not think about reviews. I’m one of those people that if I review series one, I feel like I have to go the entire way through. Even with ten series ahead of me!

With longer hours, I’m finding I’m watching things that I know are good: the old favourites that we all have. The chances are, I reviewed them years ago. I’m watching them for the fun of it, not because I want to write down my thoughts.

This post has turned into far more of a rant than I intended. What I wanted to highlight is precisely what I have been watching recently.

Bones: I remember my brother watching this years ago. When I saw it on Sky, I set it up to record and now have another nine series to watch. Oops. I’ve seen series one though and really enjoyed it; it’s charming and delightful and I love the interaction/relationships/growth of the characters. I’m about to start series two and really looking forward to it.

Legend-of-the-seeker-posterLegend of the Seeker: I was thinking about this the other day. Then I had a dream about it. That was enough for me to start watching it again. It’s been years since I saw this but forgot how much I enjoyed it. I’m currently coming to the end of series one but think I might go straight through to series 2 as well. Otherwise I’ll leave it for months and start from the beginning again.

Merlin: let’s be honest, I’m always watching Merlin. But I went through series 1 and 2 quite quickly and am now on series 3. Haven’t watched any for a while though, other shows have distracted me.

What I want to watch:

71OjPv5BWqL._SY445_Supernatural: I own series 1-5, only ever seen up to 4. One day I’m going to get through these.

Teen Wolf: I own series 1, seen series 2 and now I have access to Netflix, I can finally see the rest. Just need to get around to it.

Once Upon a Time: I’ve seen up to halfway through series 5 (I think), but again, this is one that I want to get around to finishing.

All in all, I’m re-visiting all the shows that I started in my late teens, got distracted and never finished. Looks like I’ve got some binge sessions coming my way…where’s the duvet?

How about you? Do you have old favourites you always go back to, even though you know there’s loads you haven’t yet watched?

    • I’m not sure I want to do the remake series though. But yeah, need to finish it. Just going to wait and see if I do my normal trick of starting it from the beginning again, haha!

  1. Bones is totally awesome!! 😀 Such great characters, I’ve never heard of Legend of the Seeker so now i’m intrigued. I think I might add it to my series tracker for Summer days. I use to watch Merlin but I don’t quite think I ever finished any of the seasons hmmm, might give that a go again too. ?

    • Legend of the seeker is based on a series of books that I love! It can be tricky to get hold of though. Hehe, sorry if I’ve just extended your list!
