Autumn Cozy Time Tag

Autumn Cozy Time Tag | Book Tag

I was looking through some old posts the other day and came across this one. I won’t mention how much I cringed looking at my old design (it was 6 years ago!). But I also loved the idea of giving it a refresh and how I would change up the books now. So, figured I’d kill two birds with one stone and re-do my autumn cozy time tag and see what you thought.

I first saw this tag on Aimee Elizabeth Charlotte – check it out! Let’s dive right in!

Autumn Cozy Time Tag

1. Crunching Leaves: The world is full of colour – Choose a book with reds, yellows and oranges on the cover

The Happy Family by Jackie Kabler book cover

I had a couple that I couldn’t decide between here. She Who Became The Sun was a strong contender, as was The Last Enemy. But I settled on The Happy Family – not only does it match with colours, it’s autumn leaves as well – couldn’t be more perfect, right?

2. Cozy Sweater: It’s finally cold enough to don warm clothing – What book gives you the warm fuzzies?

The Year of Saying Yes by Hannah Doyle book cover

The Year of Saying Yes by Hannah Doyle. Honestly, not only does this book feel like a warm blanket on a cold day, it always leaves me feeling inspired and grinning like an idiot every time I read it. What more could you want?

3.Fall Storm: The wind is howling and the rain is pounding – Choose your favourite book or genre that you would like to read on a stormy day?

Eragon by Christopher Paolini book cover

Let’s be honest, we all know I’m going to say the Inheritance Cycle here, there’s no point pretending. But to take it wider, it would be fantasy. Pure, adventurous high fantasy, with magic and clear lines between good and evil. Plus, throw in a few dragons and maybe some elves and I’m more than happy.

4. Cool Crisp Air: What is the coolest character you want to trade places with?

Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron book cover

This is even harder the second time around answering it than it was the first. I actually don’t know. I loved Arrah from Kingdom of Souls – there was something so relatable about her. Not sure I’d want to trade places given all that she has to deal with, but she is one cool gal!

5. Hot Apple Cider: What under hyped book do you want to see become the next biggest thing?

The Doors of Eden by Adrian Tchaivosky book cover

My original answer was actually Cassandra Clare. Reckon I got my wish there? Shows how long ago it was since I first did the tag. Now, however, I’d have to say anything by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I don’t know if I’d class his work as under-hyped, but he’s a new author to me this year and I’m completely in love with his writing style and will shout to any science fiction fan how much they need to read his work.

6. Coat, Scarves and Mittens: The weather has turned cold it’s time to cover up – What’s the most embarrassing book cover you own that you like to keep hidden from the public?

Jedi Apprentice
Jedi Apprentice

I honestly don’t know if I have one. I went through a stage last year where I had all the Jedi Apprentice books that I could read in about an hour each and was actually quite obsessed with them – although I’m not sure I would have admitted it at the time had anyone asked me.

7. Pumpkin Spice: What is your favourite fall time comfort treats?

A blanket. A cup of tea. A warm light. And a book. I mean, that might be totally predictable, but is there a better way of passing the evenings as they draw in and the nights start to close in on us?

Have you done this tag? Let me know if so – I’d love to read your answers. And if not – consider yourself tagged.

What’s your favourite Autumn read? Or favourite treat for the darker evenings?

The Bookaholics Anonymous Book Tag

Bookaholics Anonymous | Book Tag

It’s that time of the month again – book tag time! Here’s my bookaholics anonymous book tag!

Hi, I’m Lindsey and I’m a bookaholic.

In fact, I imagine many of the book-blogging community have this confession to make. But is it something we should be seeking help for? Is it heck!

I found this tag on Pretty Purple Polka Dots and the title alone made me laugh so much that I had to give it a go.

So while the rest of the country goes into panic-mode, I thought I’d share some fun but seeing what my answers to this tag would be.

Book Tag: The TBR Tag

I don’t know if I just didn’t feel inspired when looking for a tag this time, or whether it’s due to reaching the point where I’ve done a lot of them or the questions are similar, but I struggled this time. I looked at a couple but my mind went blank as to what the answers would be.

If you’re coming across some great tags at the moment, please let me know – I’d love to find some new ones!

Anyway, I stumbled across the TBR tag on Booklovingnut‘s blog and this one did catch my attention – and make me feel a little sheepish about my own TBR pile. I figured what better what than to try and organise it by answering some questions on it:

Book Tag: New Year Book Tag

It’s book tag time! And for my first one of the year, what choice did I have but to find a New Year one?

I discovered this tag on Cleopatra Loves Books and had great fun reading through the answers. It was a different New Year tag compared to the one I did last year, so I figured it was fate that I came across it.

So, without any further ado, I present to you…my New Year Book Tag.

Book Tag: The Secret Life of a Book Blogger

Having a break from blogging meant it felt like an age since I wrote a tag post. The fact that I’m excited feels like the break did what it was supposed to do and I’m back in business!

I’ve had this one bookmarked for a while but due to breaks/trying to be seasonal etc, I haven’t got around to it yet. So, without any further ado, it’s time I tried out the Secret Life of a Book Blogger post.

I first saw this one on Way Too Fantasy’s blog – one I can’t recommend enough! It was one I hadn’t done and it was fun to read, so I thought I’d try it out.

Book Tag: Marvel Avengers

Happy end of August! I hope you’ve had a fantastic month full of fantastic reads.

For once, I was organised and actually had a book tag bookmarked to do for this month rather than my normal rush to try and find them last minute. I might have also properly started discovering Pinterest and it’s amazing how many you can find on there!

But, this time at least, it was a good old fashion search and reading through blogs that made me discover this one. I found this on Kayla’s Book Nook and thought it looked a really fun review. I bet I regret this as soon as I start trying to actually answer the questions…

Still… here’s my Marvel’s Avengers book tag.

Book Tag: The Spring Cleaning book tag

Ideally, I should have done this earlier in the year when it was, you know, actually spring. But the summer months always leave me inspired to having a good spring clean and making everything feel fresh and ready for the next big adventure. If I can still ‘spring clean’ in July, then I can definitely do a spring clean book tag, right?

I found this on Find Me in a Bookshop and I highly recommend going to check out their blog. I loved reading their answers and thought I would challenge myself with giving this tag a go!

So, without any further ado, I give you my spring clean book tag:

Book Tag: Mid Year Freakout!

Not only is it the end of the month again, it’s the end of June. I mean, hold up a sec… cliche sentence coming out but where has this year gone? My mind is still stuck in February, adamant that I’m just starting the year and got plenty of time to sort it out.

To be fair, I think the year is ultimately going well so far. I’ve read some great books and I’m finally learning a few lessons about taking care of my self. Who knows if they’ll stick, but at least I’m learning something!

So, onto the tag. I saw this over on Bookathon Blog and have pretty much had it bookmarked for an entire year, waiting for the right time to come around again. And yep, I nearly forgot about it and it was only looking for something else that meant I remembered it!

On with the tag!

Book Tag: Game of Thrones

When it reaches this time of month, I often find myself scouring the internet for a tag I want to do. Some are too themed: there’s no point me doing a Percy Jackson tag as I’ve never read them (maybe one day).

But this time, it jumped out at me. Maybe because, for once, I’m actually being quite topical (which, for me, never happens!). I first saw this on TBR and Beyond and thought it looked good. Then I saw it crop up a couple of times on a few different blogs and figured that was fate telling me to do it.

The tag was originally created by Biblio Nyan. I apologise: I don’t have the skill of these two at making awesome graphics to go with each question, so you’ll have to make do with book covers instead!

On with the tag…

Book to movie wishlist tag

Back in the day (2016), I wrote a post about whether books should be adapted or not. It turned up in my views the other day, giving me pause for thought because I had already decided I wanted to do this tag.

Reading through it, I realised it was more of a rant than anything else. I had picked examples of when adaptions had been done poorly and ruined a favourite book. Well, I say ruined, I just pretended the film/show didn’t happen.

But when I saw this tag on DreamlandBookBlog, I started thinking about it again. It stuck with me. But despite my earlier misgivings, I have to admit there are a few books/series that I think would look incredible on the big screen.
